Today, the State of California legalized same sex marriages. What does this mean for my fellow Californians, besides a rise in palm springs bed and breakfasts and a tasteful decor sweeping the countryside? It means 2,200 new jobs. That according to CNN, the gay marriage boom could help save CA’s dwindling economy. And wouldn’t you know it, I already got an email from work saying they were ordering all new shirts for us and if any of us had problems working a gay wedding ( I do events).
Some radical conservatives are outraged, fearing the destruction of the sanctity of their precious institution and reviving fears of the AIDS outbreak of the 80’s. They act like homosexuality is springing out of nowhere. Lets be realistic people. Many gay couples live long and healthy lives together. Personally, I care less about homosexuality than I do an ignorant America.
