It’s been a while since there’s been a post on this baby, so I got something to change the way things are going around here…
On my way home from work today I heard a cover of the 90’s R&B bedroom anthem “Pony” by Ginuwine! As random as that may seem, the band covering it is called Hot Little Pony and is a supposed re-formation of the emo band Far.
This song is awesome and the original “Pony” video is awesome (peep those moves at 0:42) so check these out.
The day after the election was driving in my car listening to cd’s and my pod as usual when I decided to tune in the radio to see if there was anything that decent during the mix session on Power 106. Normally I can’t listen to that station unless it’s an actual dj spinning and I was in for a great surprise. Two dj’s that work at the station put together a really dope tribute mix to president-elect Obama. They did some serious digging to find lots of hip hop/rap songs that had a presiential theme as well as good samples from Obama’s speeches. The set was so tight that I even texted a few people to tell them to listen. After a bit of digging myself I was able to find the mix online so now i present you…
Living in the Los Angeles area exposes you to a lot of live Electro DJ’s and Artists.
There has been a huge response from scene lately.
Thanks to the huge success of great artists like Franki Chan (IHEARTCOMIX), L.A. Riots, Steve Aoki (DIM MAK), DJ AM and Acid Girls, and Villains Los Angeles has been able to hold its own in the World Electro Scene along with South America, Europe, and Japan. I have been searching for some new up and coming producers that will keep the torch burning. To name a few KeenHouse, Lazrtag, Killed by Synth, Dan Sena, On Off On, Synthamatic, After Midnight, Whiskey Pete and Bobby Bustle have really caught my attention lately. All of these acts really put on an incredible show. High energy teamed up with great production! No one really should sleep on these guys.
The proof is in the puddin!
Peep my 1st Los Angeles Artist review of Bobby Bustle.
After seeing Bobby Bustle tear it up right before Chuck Inglish of
The Cool Kids last Saturday @ TILT, I was convinced. With HARD
hitting beats, smoothed out synths, and lyrics that stick in your
mind, Bobby Bustle came correct. I’m proud to share these
exclusive UNRELEASED TRACKS with everyone. These are
the same awesome tracks that had the whole room jumpin!
Straight SOLID!

I never invested enough time into politics until I saw this.
How could this not stop you in your steps?
If it’s one word it’s: Genius
Kudo’s Ron English for your political art and giving America something to think about…the similarities seem endless; What was Lincoln’s definition of national unity?
